Michael B. Jordan Timeline

Michael B Jordan Timeline

Best known for his roles in Black Panther, Creed and Creed II, talented actor Michael B. Jordan also starred in 3 of the most acclaimed TV dramas of the past decade, namely The Wire, Friday Night Lights and Parenthood. Having started his acting career with performances in television productions at the early age of 12, he has now become one of Hollywood’s new leading men.

To celebrate the one who aced the main antagonist part in 2018’s highest-grossing movie at domestic box office (and his title of 2020's Sexiest Man Alive) we have created Michael B. Jordan’s timeline, which overviews his work and achievements as an actor.

Before embarking on his current profession, Jordan worked as a model for several companies and brands. In 1999, he made his debut on the screen with appearances in the TV series The Sopranos and Cosby. It was in 2013 that he played his first major leading role in Fruitvale Station, which brought him the National Board of Review award for breakthrough performance. Not only did this movie help the actor garner many accolades, but it also led to future collaborations with its director, Ryan Coogler, who cast Jordan in Creed and Creed II.

Now firmly set on Hollywood directors’ radar, Michael B. Jordan has already accepted a promising series of roles in films to be released in 2020. We wish that his middle name, Bakari, which means “of noble promise” in Swahili, will do justice to his acting future.

The Michael B. Jordan chronology was created with the intuitive PowerPoint add-in called Office Timeline. Using this tool, you can create stylish timelines and professional Gantt charts with only a few clicks. The slide is free to copy and share, and can be edited and updated with Office Timeline Plus.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Timeline

Wolfgang-Amadeus Mozart Timeline

On 27 January 1756, the prodigious and iconic composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born. Having created a massive body of 600 musical works in his 35 years of existence, he has influenced other maestros such as Tchaikovsky and Beethoven, and continues to be a source of inspiration to many, from film directors to computer scientists. Spanning every form and style of his time, Mozart's music has redefined numerous types of composition, from symphonies and chamber music for string quartets, to sonatas for the piano and church music. In trying to explain why the composer’s work was revolutionary, writer Arthur Miller said "Mozart is happiness before it has gotten defined."

To praise the undeniable and enduring legacy that the Austrian composer left to posterity, we have created the Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Timeline, which overviews his life, including the premiere dates of his most important works.

Born as Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart in Salzburg, he displayed a prodigious talent at the early age of 4 when he learned how to play the keyboard, one year later already composing his own little musical pieces. This tremendous ability led to his father taking him in several European journeys to perform as a child prodigy. By the age of 20, when he was contracted as a musician at the Salzburg court, Mozart had already given countless acclaimed performances in Munich, Paris, London, The Hague, Milan and other cities.

Despite being employed as court musician in his hometown, young Mozart was discontent and hoped to find a position elsewhere, which determined him to resign in 1777 and venture to a series of cities in search of employment. Unfortunately, none of these attempts materialized into long-term commitments. In 1781, however, things would change for him when, after the successful premiere of his opera Idomeneo in Munich, he was summoned to Vienna. Settling in Europe’s then culture capital, he would establish himself as a virtuoso and reach the pinnacle of his creation, profoundly influencing the subsequent Western art music and earning the reputation of one of the greatest people of the millenium.

The Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart chronology was designed with Office Timeline, a simple yet efficient PowerPoint add-in that helps you create eye-catching timelines and Gantt charts with a few clicks. You can restyle and further edit the slide using Office Timeline Plus Edition.

George Orwell Timeline

George Orwell Timeline

On the 21st of January, 1950, English author George Orwell (born Eric Arthur Blair) passed away. Best known among modern readers as the novelist who enriched the dystopian fiction genre through works such as Animal Farm (1945) and 1984 (1949), Mr. Orwell distinguished himself as an active essayist, journalist and literary critic in his times. Marked by a strong awareness of social injustice, his lucid prose continues to influence today’s political and popular culture, having introduced reference neologisms such as “Big Brother”, “Thought Police” and “unperson” into the English language.

To pay tribute to one of the 50 greatest British writers of the last century, we have created the George Orwell Timeline, which pinpoints some of his most significant life events and published works.

Long before the allegorical novella Animal Farm and dystopian novel 1984 saw the light of day, Mr. Orwell had steadily built his writing career through non-fiction pieces documenting aspects such as the Spanish Civil War, class division and the living conditions of the poor. To record his experiences of the low life described in Down and Out in Paris and London (1936), he dressed like a tramp and went on expeditions, tours and immersions in the poorer parts of these two cities. It was with the publication of this memoir that he adopted his now famous pseudonym, all his previous articles and short essays being signed with his real name.

The George Orwell chronology was built with the lightweight PowerPoint extension called Office Timeline, which enables the fast creation of stylish timelines and other similar visuals. You can copy the image for free, and can further edit and update it using the Plus Version of the tool.

Jeff Bezos Timeline

Updated on 29 June 2020

Jeff Bezos Timeline

The 12th of January marks the birthday of entrepreneur, philanthropist, father of ecommerce and all-around visionary Jeff Bezos. The world knows him best for taking a small online bookstore and transforming it into the retail giant we know today as Amazon.

However, that’s just one of the achievements under Mr. Bezos’ belt. For instance, in 2020 NASA partnered up with Blue Origin - and a handful of other companies - for their 2024 lunar landing within the Artemis program. Another example is The Washington Post newspaper, which has been a part of the Bezos empire since 2013. On top of that, the Amazon founder manages a plethora of other business investments via the Bezos Expeditions venture capital fund.

How did Jeff Bezos start Amazon?

You’re now probably wondering: how did Jeff Bezos start his journey into the untamed and unforgiving business landscape of the 90’s? Was it all smooth sailing? Or did he constantly have to learn how to navigate the treacherous waters of the retail industry that caused the rise and fall of so many other giants before him?

For one thing, the Jeff Bezos story isn’t of the classical “brilliant high-school dropout with a dream takes over the world” variety. It would have zero elements from the rags to riches narrative too, if not for the time he spent as a McDonald’s line cook in high school. In fact, young Jeff graduated as a valedictorian and set himself up on a steady path to success by pursuing a higher education at Princeton. He finished college with an academic degree in Computer Science and a second one in Electrical Engineering.

The year is now 1990 and Bezos enters a highly lucrative career at D. E. Shaw & Co, a hedge fund where he would ascend to the position of 4th Senior VP by ‘94. Incidentally, this is also where he would meet aspiring novelist MacKenzie Tuttle, whom he marries in 1993. MacKenzie played an instrumental role in getting Amazon off the ground in the early days. Following their divorce in 2019, she got 25% of the Amazon stock, with an estimated value of $35,6 billion.

How old was Jeff Bezos when he started Amazon?

It’s July 1994, and he is only 30 when the nascent form of the retail giant is unleashed upon the world as a timid, garage-based online bookstore. However, as they move towards a diversification of the consumer goods and web services, Bezos warns investors about the high potential of failure.

His greatest fears come to pass, and Amazon walks the tightrope of bankruptcy in 2002. Amazon narrowly avoids financial disaster and succeeds, thanks to Jeff Bezos’ assiduous management and discipline, in becoming the world’s largest retailer and cloud infrastructure provider.

If you’re curious, check out our Amazon history timeline for more insights about the company.

Jeff Bezos divorce

The more recent years are a time of controversy for Bezos, but we can also notice a dramatic increase of his involvement in philanthropy. From 2017 onwards, he donated billions of dollars to combat homelessness and the disastrous effects of climate change, as well as support education and the freedom of press.

2019 marks a turning point in Jeff’s love life, as he makes the first public appearance side by side with his newfound romantic interest, award winning news anchor and media personality, Lauren Sanchez. The couple is off to a rough start, as their relationship is marred by accusations of blackmail and extortion, but Bezos doesn’t strike us as the kind of person who scares easily.

What does the future have in store for the man who built a retail empire around a tiny Seattle bookstore? Analysts estimate that by 2026 he will likely become the world’s first honest-to-god trillionaire – watch out, Bill Gates – and we know that his eyes are set on space exploration, so we can’t wait to find out!

🎄 Christmas Timeline 🎅

Christmas Timeline

Celebrated all over the world in a variety of ways, Christmas is sure one of the most beloved holidays and marks one of the most exciting periods of the year. Its traditions, decorations and overall spirit animate and give many of us something to look forward to well in advance.

To wish everyone happy holidays, we have created a timeline that illustrates a short collection of Christmas-related facts and traditions.

With its name representing a shortened form of “Christ’s mass”, Christmas has its origins in ancient pagan festivities such as Deus Sol Invictus, Saturnalia and the Kalends, all of which took place at the end of the year. Despite disapproving of the aforementioned celebrations, The Christian Church appropriated them and it was Pope Julius I, the bishop of Rome, who proclaimed the 25th of December as the official celebration date for Jesus’ birthday way back in 350 AD.

Long before Christmas trees came to be associated with the winter holiday, evergreens were revered as symbols of rebirth and eternal life within heathen communities. Initially banned by the Christian councils because of these pagan associations, holly, ivy and other evergreen boughs later became the traditional decorations for Christmas.

The Christmas chronology was created with the Office Timeline extension for PowerPoint, an easy-to-use tool that enables users to easily build stylish timelines or more professional graphics such as project roadmaps or Gantt charts. You can copy the slide for free, and further edit it to include your own data using the Pro Version of the add-in.
